The Yeezy Foam Runner was co-designed by Kanye and legendary sneaker designer Steven Smith, who was also behind the adidas Yeezy Boost 700 (and other classic shoes like the New Balance 574 and Reebok Insta Pump Fury.) It debuted in 2020, and its first colorway was the “Ararat,” named after his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s Armenian heritage.
